John D. Moore

John has practiced law in Nevada since graduating, with distinction, from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law, in 2003. Prior to attending McGeorge, he graduated from Brigham Young University in 2000.

John is a successful trial attorney with many years of experience. He assists his clients in matters of mechanic’s lien foreclosures, breach of contract actions, construction defect claims, complaints raised with the Nevada and California State Contractors Board, and all other aspects of litigation. John also advises clients regarding the labor and employment laws that affect employers and regularly practices before the Nevada and California Labor Commissioner.

John is admitted to practice law before all state courts in Nevada and California and before the United States District Courts for the District of Nevada and for the Central, Eastern, and Northern Districts of California. John is also licensed to practice law before the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.

John contributes time to the advancement of legal issues in Nevada, acting as a speaker at continuing legal education courses. He has also written articles for various publications, including the Nevada Lawyer and the Northern Nevada Business Weekly. John volunteers as a youth leader for his church and with the Boy Scouts of America.

In his spare time, John enjoys spending as much time as possible with his wife, Julie, and their four children. John and his family love the outdoors, making trips to Lake Tahoe and other surrounding areas to enjoy the natural beauty of Nevada and California.
